#LevelTheField gender equity campaign wraps up in BC

The #LevelTheField Gender Equity campaign wrapped up yesterday, March 31, at the Game On! Women in Sport event at Chilliwack Museum and Archives. The campaign was the first phase of #LevelTheField — a province-wide movement led by viaSport to create a more inclusive sport culture in BC.

13 female leaders join advisory group for girls and women in sport

Thirteen female sport leaders have joined the second term of viaSport’s Girls and Women Advisory Group (GWAG) for sport and physical activity in British Columbia. viaSport welcomes seven new members, including B.C. Olympians Karina LeBlanc and Allison Forsyth, and Paralympian Elisabeth Walker-Young.

Canada may be a sport-loving nation, but when it comes to access to sport for Canadian women, it has a long way to go for the win. So say the findings from a new research publication, unveiled today by Canada’s dairy farmers and the Canadian Association for Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS).
