BC Sport Organizations come together to celebrate Olympic Day in Kamloops 2017 on November 22nd


Members of BC’s sport community are set to descend upon Kamloops on November 22nd, as the BC sport sector joins forces with the Canadian Olympic Committee to bring Olympic Day to Kamloops. Hosted by PacificSport Interior BC, the event will provide over 1,500 school aged children from the region with valuable physical movement skills through fun activities from a wide-range of provincial sport organizations, including viaSport BC, 2018 BC Winter Games Society and BC Sports Hall of Fame.

Tom Walker joins viaSport as Community Sport Development Coordinator

College Of The Rockies And School District #5 Project Receives viaSport Grant


Representatives from the Kinesiology and University of Victoria/East Kootenay Teacher Education programs at College of the Rockies were on hand at Steeples Elementary School on Friday, April 10 for a funding announcement. viaSport Coaching and Leadership Development Manager Eric Sinker revealed that viaSport will be awarding a grant of $14,560 to support an ongoing applied research project by College of the Rockies and Steeples Elementary school.

Free physical literacy fun for ‘BC Family Day’ at PISE


PISE (Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence) is offering a free Physical Literacy ‘Family Day’ on Monday, February 9 in celebration of the BC Family Day holiday. PISE is located on the Camosun College campus at 4371 Interurban Road, where visitors can enjoy free parking for the day.
