viaSport, in partnership with the West Vancouver Community Foundation, has launched a new High Performance Athlete Assistance Grant to assist B.C. amateur athletes of Indigenous ancestry in their pursuit of excellence in sport.

Now Open! 2019 Canada Games Mentorship Applications


The Aboriginal Apprentice Coach Program and Women in Coaching Canada Games Apprentice Program are both accepting applications for mentorship opportunitites at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta. Both programs are national initatives, but provide the opportunity for each province and territory to send two coaches in each program to the next Canada Games.

I·SPARC unveils new Team BC theme song


After launching a province-wide competition, the Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity & Recreation Council (I·SPARC) has unveiled Team BC’s new theme song set to premiere at the Toronto 2017 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG). The song will be used to inspire Team BC during competitions and to create a unique presence at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
