Eighteen years ago, British Columbia lost an influential coach, mentor and friend in Bob Bearpark. Today, the legacy of Bob’s accomplishments are carried on through the Bearpark Foundation, recognizing and honouring his many contributions to sport in British Columbia and across Canada.
Judo BC celebrated 50 years as a registered society, June 6, 2014 at the Executive Airport Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre in Richmond, BC. The evening’s master of ceremonies was Al Sakai who spoke to the importance of the people who give Judo BC its identity and character. During the course of the night, guests were treated to a buffet dinner, slide show, trivia contest, storytelling and more than a few good laughs.
Since 1978, the BC Games have been bringing British Columbia's best emerging high performance athletes, trained coaches, and certified officials together for four days of exhilarating multi-sport competition.
