Multi-Sport Training

The following multi-sport coaching modules will enhance your coaching repertoire and give you a solid foundation in building your coach education. The information provided in these courses can be applied to all sports, and may work towards a trained status in your coach pathway. NCCP courses can be counted towards your maintenance of certification, worth 5 points per course. You can complete most of the multi-sport modules in two ways; through an in-class session (see course schedule below) or through our home study program. Coaches are encouraged to connect with the Regional Alliance centre closest to them, if they are interested in participating in a specific course.

Some sports have integrated the multi-sport modules within their sport specific components. Check your Provincial Sport Organization first to confirm if you require multi-sport training and what course(s) you need to take towards your coach education, and for information about all sport-specific training opportunities and certifications.

Descriptions of all the multi-sport modules viaSport offers are available here

Please note: Participants must be a minimum age of 14 to participate in multi-sport courses. Coaches under the age of 16 will be identified in the NCCP database as U16. Their training will be credited but certification cannot be completed prior to 16 years old.

viaSport Refund Policy If notice is given three or more business days prior to the start of the workshop, the participant can choose to either:

  • receive credit to attend the same NCCP workshop hosted by viaSport
