Cross Country Skiing

Cross-country skiing is a sport for a lifetime – easily learned, low risk and high enjoyment. It is practiced by skiers of all levels, from recreation to high performance, at ski facilities across the province. It is an ideal outdoor winter activity that develops both fitness and an appreciation of BC’s beautiful winter countryside.

Adaptive cross country skiing - an adapted version of the sport - is also available to skiers of all ages with a disability.

  • Cross Country BC

    Cross Country BC promotes programs that range from basic skill development for children to preparation for competitive excellence at the national level. The association provides venues, trains coaches and officials, and delivers both provincial and national programs and initiatives. There are 46 cross country ski clubs in BC, visit the Cross Country BC website to learn more.

Officials Information


The CCC Officials certification program has five steps from entry level through to the international level. It includes technical delegate, event management and course conductor training as well as a progression of training opportunities for officials.
