Peter Bakonyi Fencing World Cup

The Peter Bakonyi World Cup is the only fencing World Cup for the Épée weapon held in North America, and one of five Épée World Cups held annually around the world. Featuring both individual and team events, this competition is an important qualifying event for the 2017 Fencing World Championships. The event is sanctioned by the International Fencing Federation, and is jointly hosted by the BC Fencing Association and the Canadian Fencing Federation. Held at the Richmond Olympic Oval, this event will feature over 150 of the top fencers from around the world.

The 2017 BC Junior Curling Championships feature the best male and female curlers under 21 in British Columbia. Eight teams of Junior Men and eight teams of Junior Women play in a round robin format, with the best four teams from each side advancing to a page playoff. The winning teams will go on to compete for the title of Canadian Champions.

After three years, the City of Coquitlam is once again hosting the BCSSA Provincial Championships at the City Centre Aquatic Complex and Spani Pool. This year's event marks the 58th B.C. Championships, and is expected to bring over 5,000 people to the city including 1,500 athletes and 200 coaches.

Parkour, also referred to as urban gymnastics, is an activity originally designed with the aim of moving from one point to another as efficiently and quickly as possible. This activity utilizes principally the physical abilities such as running, jumping, rolling, and climbing.The goal of the new Boys Parkour Gymnastics Program is to introduce the emerging sport of parkour and to increase boys' participation from age 9-12 years old at the Bowen Island Gymastics Club.
