Children's Fitness Tax Credit

The Children’s Fitness Tax Credit was announced by the government in the 2006 federal budget. It promises a $500 tax credit applicable to the costs of children’s fitness programs. Its laudable policy objective is to increase children’s physical activity levels.

Community Gaming Grants

Community Gaming Grants support the delivery of community organization programs that benefit the citizens of British Columbia. Dave Murray Ski Foundation Bursary (BC Alpine)

An award of $750 given to one athlete per division (province) based on their financial need, athletic ability, sportsmanship and leadership skills and recommedations by a BC Alpine coach or club rep. Priority is given to J1/J2 athletes.

Denise Coutts Memorial Scholarship

The Denise Coutts Memorial Scholarship was founded in November 2014 after the sudden loss of Denise to gynecological cancer. Denise was a pillar in the sport community and non-profit sector and advocate for all women and girls. Denise was a high level athlete, volunteer, coach, promoter and builder. Her legacy will be everlasting and the impact that she has left on others is timeless. Each year, two female student-athletes will be selected and will receive a scholarship of $500 to pursue their post-secondary education.

Douglas College Sport Science Department Awards

The Sport Science Department offers numerous awards/scholarships to students enrolled in the Sport Science Diploma and Bachelor of Physical Education & Coaching programs. These awards/scholarships are regularly given to students who excel academically while also displaying a passion for sport, physical education and coaching both inside and outside the College. Dreamcatcher Charitable Foundation

The goal of this sector is to provide support for youth to effectively participate and develop necessary skills through sports and recreational activities. The Dreamcatcher Charitable Foundation believes that youth develop leadership and teamwork skills through participation in team sports and community-based  activities.

Fueling Athlete and Coaching Excellence

The Fuelling Athlete and Coaching Excellence program focuses on providing equal funding to developing Olympic and Paralympic athletes and their coaches. FACE™ helps to provide the athlete and their coach with the resources necessary to close the gap and achieve national carded status for the athlete in the short term, and improve coaching skills over the long term.

Good Sports

Good Sports wants to help kids in need to stay active! If you or your team is in need of equipment, Good Sports may be able to help through this sport equipment grant which is open to organized sports and recreation programs. It is based out of the US but Canadian organizations can apply.

Healthy Living Inquiry Grant - Healthy Schools BC

The Healthy Living Activity Grant is a $500 grant that is intended to support healthy living goals and student-centered actions within schools, such as those which engage students in a healthy living activity or program that will positively impact their health and learning.

Investors Group Community Coaching Conference & NCCP Workshop Grants

The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC), through the sponsorship of Investors Group Inc., is pleased to provide financial assistance to communities and organizations interested in hosting a Community Coaching Conference. Investors Group also supports the recognition of the contribution of volunteer sport administrators with local and national awards.
